Willoughby (AUS)  aventajó en la final a los franceses  Joris Daudaet  y Moana Moo Caille, convirtiendose así en el nuevo rey de la categoría más poderosa del BMX internacional.

En tanto que la piloto de Francia Magalie Pottier, fue la más rápida del mundial en elite-women,  categoría en la cual Eva Ailloud (FRA) y Ramona Labounkova (CZE), ocuparon los dos lugares restantes del podio.

En la junior-men el campeón fue el colombiano Carlos Alberto Ramírez Yepez, y  estadounidense Felicia Stancil se consagró campeona mundial en junior-women.
